This year has been a busy and exciting time. A significant achievement has been our merger with Harrogate Women’s Aid. The merger has provided us with greater financial stability and increased opportunities for the development of services.

Recruiting and training a new staff team and managing the refurbishment of the aging refuge in Harrogate has been a huge challenge for the whole team, but this is now complete. We can now look forward to providing consistent and high quality services across all of our projects.

Support in the community
We have continued to develop our services to meet the needs of all those affected by domestic abuse. As well as providing vital individual support, we now also run groups such as the Strengthening Families and Freedom programmes to help people understand and recover from domestic abuse. We also provide facilitators for the probation managed Integrated Domestic Abuse Programme in order to challenge and alter perpetrators’ behaviour...
