Women’s Aid is a national charity providing advice, information and training to professionals. It also provides best practice guidance and standards for the delivery of refuge accommodation. Respect is the UK membership organisation for work with domestic violence perpetrators, male victims and young people. It provides training for professionals and accreditation for perpetrator programmes. Galop is a national charity providing specialist advice, support and a listening service for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender people. It will also provide information about local charities such as IDAS that can offer face to face support. Safe Lives is a national charity that provides advice, training and information to professionals working within the field of domestic abuse. National Ugly Mugs is a UK charity set up to end violence against sex workers, escorts and prostitutes. Agencies and individuals can sign up to NUM for free to report incidents and receive warnings about dangerous individuals.
