Home > Awareness raising > IDAS Director Sarah Hill on BBC Look North

Following the recent awful events in West Yorkshire where there have been several murders of both women and children through domestic abuse, IDAS Director, Sarah Hill was invited on to BBC Look North to speak. She urged anyone living with abuse or fear to contact us for free, confidential support.

Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, anywhere with 50,000 reports being made to the police in North and West Yorkshire alone. All too often friends and neighbours express their shock when the worst happens. However, statistics show that in nearly 60% of cases of domestic abuse, friends and neighbours were aware that this was happening. If you are concerned about yourself, a friend or a neighbour please contact IDAS on 03000 110 110.
