Home > Awareness raising > A video interview with Joolz and Rory

On the 7th of July we were delighted to welcome two or our patrons, Rory Cowan, actor, and Joolz Denby, artist and writer, to visit our refuge in York.  They met with staff to discuss our work and joined us in a garden party at the refuge where they spent a lot of time talking to the women and children.  Both Rory and Joolz have been brilliant in providing funding to repair and update the play area in the refuge but most of all they are genuinely interested in raising awareness about abuse and in ensuring that anyone affected knows that support is out there for them.  Please watch the video where they talk about why they became involved with IDAS
