All at IDAS are committed to delivering high quality services with care and respect for those we support. We are affiliated to Women’s Aid Federation of England and provide our refuge accommodation in accordance with their standards. We are also a Save Lives Leading Lights accredited provider. Leading Lights is recognised nationally as being a mark of quality for domestic abuse services.

In addition, our commissioned services are subject to regular scrutiny and reviews by our funders.

We regularly consult with and get feedback from people who use our services and from stakeholders. Over 90% of clients score rate our services as 10/10.

We work hard to ensure that the people we support, our staff, volunteers, trustees and sub-contracted agents who come into contact with the organisation are protected from harm, abuse of power or exploitation.

We have extensive policies that outline our approach and commitment to safeguarding and everyone involved in the delivery or management of our services undertakes extensive safeguarding training and is provided with expert management and supervision.

"Your help, support and advice has been amazing, I couldn’t have got through all this without you. My family and I are so grateful and will never forget the work that you and IDAS do.” (Harrogate refuge)"

“ The ISVA’s were brilliant all the way through. With both me and my Family, especially my Mum. When I needed them they were there – they are still there now. The support fitted around me. I needed the most support at court – They prepared me for it, being with some-one who knew what was happening and explaining it to me. It was nice to have some-one from outside the family and friends for support. You can say things to them you wouldn’t say to Family and friends because you don’t have to protect them. Everything with the support was brilliant, I don’t think I could have done it without them”
