Who we are
IDAS is a charity that provides comprehensive support services to all those experiencing or affected by domestic abuse. We work throughout York, Harrogate and District, Hambleton, Richmondshire and Craven and have links with other specialist domestic abuse services throughout North Yorkshire.
We were formerly York Women's Aid and decided to change our name to reflect the changing nature of the work we do. As well as expanding the geographical area of our work, we now provide support to male victims of abuse as well as women and employ a young person's advocacy worker to work with people aged 11 to 18 years old.
